Ilse, Regina, & the Roadhouse

I had met all the rest of my Austrian Rechenmacher cousins on Christmas Day except Ilse. So, we arranged to hit the Saturday nightlife together.

She and her friend Regina picked me up and [we] headed to an Australian bar. There was a sweet [cover band] [2] playing there that was rocking the house. The best part was when they were playing Sweet Home Alabama. As they were playing the classic riff the whole band would suddenly fade into another classic rock song for a verse or two and then fade back into Sweet Home Alabama. They did this numerous times with many different songs.

Later we moved on to the Roadhouse. The Roadhouse is supposed to be a Australian bar also, but it's more of just an Austrian pub for the youngsters. We spent most of our time in the small downstairs bar and billiards room. I talked to [Josef] [2] , a friend of Ilse's, for quite a while. It's really fun talking half English and half German. I am having so much fun learning German.
