Apartment Seeking Tour
The next day I tried the vernacular, instead of the stairs, and
it was only about 50¢ and was much faster than hiking the
stairs. And offered excellent views of the city [1] [2] .
Wandering around on my own I stopped at the old town square to
rest for a moment. There was a girl looking for something on a
large map so I offered her my small map, but she declined. As
I was trying to think of something else to say, because I really
wanted to keep talking to her, she began.
Michaela was from, Pilzn (1 hour by bus from Prague), but was looking for
a place to live in Prague for school. She took me to the Prague
castle [city
from the castle] as she was placing phone calls for vacant
apartments. I also went with her to the outskirts of the city
where we found the plain white, prefab, 10-in-a-row, communistic
buildings which she, nor I , would ever want to live in.
We hung out a few more times to drink so me tea and catch-up
as she continued looking for apartments in Prague.
Later I met up with Mihau and Ola and we saw Frank Gehry's [Ginger
& Fred] , built on the site where an American bomb had
acidentally fallen in Prague, on our way to get some lunch.
