Bruno & Bart's Pad

The Dutch ladys were up early and wished me a good trip as they left. I went back to sleep.

After getting ready for the day, a few hours later, I headed down to the hostel bar to write a bit. Bruno and Karen met me there and we went to Rocket Charlies to play some pool. USA conquored Belgium 3-2. They weren't up for The Crash again because they both had to work in the morning. So we picked up some videos and beer then went to Bruno's house (his parents are in southern France for the next three weeks). He ordered a few pizzas and showed me around his place.

His house is so cool. It's not too big, but has four stories. A great kitchen, dining room, living room and bathroom on the first floor. [stairs] [hall shoe racks] [hall] The second floor has just a bathroom which you enter just off the stairs (I guess that it could be kind of a half-story). The next floor has his parents room and brothers room. And the Attic is Brunos room. Both Bruno and his brother Bart's rooms have a study room [3] [celing storage] that leads into a bedroom . This way you can study and not be overly tempted by your bed to nap for just a moment.

The place that we got beer from was really hip. It was like a giant vending maching that was built into the side of a building. You put your money into the machine, selected from among 50 or so various items and the machine would move to the product on the shelf, pick it off and then deposit it in a bin that you open and remove it from. Open 24/7 without the cost of an attendant!

Dirk and Bart [Bart, Bruno, Dirk] arrived and we watched the Little Nicky and Castaway while we enjoyed some great Belgian style pizza, lots of toppings, thin crust, not cooked too much...
