So, uncle Toby, who spent a few years in Vienna, called me to tell me that his friends were expecting me to spend the weekend in Vienna with them. So I trained to Vienna and had a great dinner with Curt and Katerina.

They explained to me that their friends had offered me their extra room and that I'd be much more comfortable with them. Eveylen and Filip were pretty cool. Filip is a partner of a graphic design firm and Evelyn is raising their son Simon, a really cool little tike.

When I first met saw Evelyn, I knew there was something familiar about her, but it wasn't until the next morning that I realized she was the sister of Roland, whom I had had been staying with each time I had come to Vienna to expand my mind on the weekends.

My Uncle Toby called to tell me that his friends Kurt and Katerina were expecting me to visit them in Vienna. After another exciting day of teaching English in Blindenmarkt, I hopped on a train to Vienna and was soon eating a marvelous meal of pasta with tuna and tomato sauce at their apartment.

After hearing all about their trip to California, life in Vienna, and many stories about my extraordinary Uncle Toby’s years in Vienna they told me some friends had offered me a bed where I would probably be more comfortable. So we walked the few blocks to their friends’ apartment through streets that looked oddly familiar.

The bed was great, their friends, Filip + Evelyn, were very nice, and we all had a typical Frustück of cheeses, sliced meats, pickled vegetables, yogurt, fruit, and semmelen (rolls)
