Exploring Zurich

I packed everything up last night so that I'd be ready to leave in the morning. After Rob's morning soccer game in Zurich, I planned on staying in Zurich for a few nights. Then I would continue into Austria.

Good thing I packed because Eden woke me up, knocking on the door, ready to hit the road, Rob in the car, ready to go. Ahhh... 3 minutes later I was in the car with my stuff waking up.

Rob was excited to play the game. His team was playing the other undefeated team in the league.

After Rob's team's 2-0 win against the other team undefeated league team, we U-bahn'd it to the zentrum. We checked out the shopping streets, banks, and walked around the lake. [rob & eden] [mit mir]

The night before my mother had reminded me that we had friends in Zurich: Kate & Goffee

I tried to call them a few times with no luck. I said good-bye to rob & eden and headed to the youth hostel. Just before I was about to pay for a night at the youth hostel, I called again and they offered me their couch.

I spent four days with [kate] & [goffee] . They're real cool people who practice the long sleeping habits that I, too, enjoy.

They treated me to [raclette] , a meal of grilled cheese that is not to be missed in Switzerland. In the interest of just finishing the Raclette they each ate a few more helpings than I and regretted it the next morning. =)

In a remodeled mansion surrounded by vineyards the FIFA world headquarters has interactive exhibits that teach you all about soccer, many historical photos, and the [world cup trophy] . The two computers from which you can view their website also allow surfing. So I spent a little time surfing around and writing email.

Outside I met two [guys] , Steve and Raffi. We enjoyed the [sunset] , chatted, and enlightened ourselves.

The Zurich design school was had an exhibit comparing [record covers] that was interesting, but how interesting is non-100% original design? If their is a reason, okay. But come on...
